Mold Caused by Neglect

We cleaned up this home that belonged to a hoarder. The home had not been cleaned in years. It was so bad that things had been left unattended and therefore the pile in the middle of the floor covered a wet section of the floor. This section had to be stripped after the place was cleaned. Once stripped there were traces of mold found which then had to be remediated. Once the mold was remediated then the floor itself had to be dried out before anything else could be done.

Some restoration companies advertise “mold removal” and may even guarantee to remove all mold. This is a fallacy because removing all mold from a house or business is impossible; microscopic mold spores exist almost everywhere, both indoors and outdoors.
